Department Chair
Steven Wilkinson, Ph.D., has been hired as the new chair of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics beginning July 2009.
Professor Wilkinson has been a member of the department since 1989. His research interests include differential geometry and computational geometry with his most recent publication, Self-Curvature Curves, to appear in Mathematics Magazine. He has also been involved in international studies having helped established the Alternative Spring Break programs at NKU.

The department wishes to thank Dr. Gail Mackin for her valued service as interim department chair. Dr. Mackin will continue as a faculty member of the department with teaching duties and as Assistant Chair working with student affairs. Dr. Mackin will also have duties assisting the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
