One of the best decisions I ever made was to attend NKU. I received an excellent education and really enjoyed the campus and my professors. The Math Department at that time consisted of both the computer science and math faculty. The faculty was the major reason I enjoyed my time there so much. They were always available and very involved with aiding students in their university career and beyond. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in May 1983 with a double major in Computer Science and Math. This degree enabled me to pursue a successful career as a software engineer. One of the most important things I learned during my time at NKU was problem-solving. This is the basis for a good software engineer. My career has taken me to many places and several industries. Perhaps one of my greatest achievements was to break new ground as the first telecommuter for CASE/SDRC. I have been working at home for the past seven years. My family and I now live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but I work as if I’m sitting in an office in Cincinnati, Ohio! There are now several telecommuters who also work from home. I’ve been with CASE/SDRC/EDS/UGS now for almost 12 years. (Same position – the companies keep being bought/sold!)

Here is a recap of my career:
